Lewis Allan „Lou“ Reed (* 2. März 1942 in New York; † 27. Oktober 2013 in East Hampton, New York) [1] war ein US-amerikanischer Songwriter, Gitarrist und Sänger. Er war zusammen mit John Cale Gründungsmitglied der einflussreichen Rockband The Velvet Underground, welche in der Frühphase von Andy Warhol gefördert wurde.
