Maria Aitken's acting talents were showcased on the big screen many times throughout the course of her Hollywood career. She had a part on the television special "Quiet As a Nun" (PBS, 1982-83). She was nominated for a BAFTA Award for "A Fish Called Wanda" in 1988. In addition to producing, Aitken also appeared on-screen in "Melba" (PBS, 1988-89).
