Synecdoche, New York, va detto con sincerità, è un film deprimente, uno specchio di ansie, malumori e dubbi esistenziali riversati in pellicola e scaraventati con poco riguardo in faccia al pubblico. Film, come noto, destinato forse a cadere nell’oblio, almeno qui in Italia, ma recuperato dalla BIM a seguito della morte di Hoffman.

It is a film about conscious existence and subconscious being, a film about love, a film about death, and the art and emotion expanding in between the longing sonder and emptiness.
