"Carnival of Souls" has a good plot and some interesting dialogue, but the film is ruined by incompetence, including a cast that cannot act, and a director that cannot direct. It's been claimed that this movie inspired "Night of the Living Dead" and the work of Tim Burton and David Lynch, but I find all of these claims highly unlikely.
