2.2 is pretty harsh there Letterboxd. The movie has issues sure, especially that pathetic ending. But you’ve got Micheal Rooker and family going up against a 50’s b-movie fish monster while trapped on a barren frozen lake. And there’s some good gore sprinkled throughout too!
19 ott 2012 · In addition, "Hypothermia" never really decides if it wants to be comical or not. The out of town family is so ridiculously over-the-top annoying that you would expect the movie to be a full-fledged horror-comedy, but there is no commitment to anything genuinely humorous, so ultimately the film ends up being neither funny or scary in any way whatsoever.

Zu gefallen weiß der Film durch eine phantastische Kameraarbeit, die die trostlose Kälte bestens einfängt und durch einen zurückhaltenden, aber eindringlichen Score akzentuiert wird. Interessant ist er auch, weil er die Figuren trotz geringer Möglichkeiten differenziert gestaltet.
