I don’t know what I expected when I started Big City Blues, but it sure wasn’t a tender love letter to New York (and each and every one of its awful warts), nor was it an affectionate chuck under the chin for all of the wide-eyed kids who make their way to the City for excitement, or to make their marks, or because they just wanna.
