5-25-77 is clearly a passsion project for Patrick Read Johnson, who started filming in 2004 and finally finished principal photography 12 years later. An unfinished version was shown in 2017 before finally getting a limited release in 2022. It’s definitely an intriguing movie but way too long & slow. It felt like it just wouldn’t end.
