Bernhardiner-dog Buck is being caputerd from his comfortable home to become a seld dog in brutal cold Alaska. In contrast to "White Fang" (1991), „Klondike Fever“ (2012), „Kayla“ (1997) or „Il Ritorno Di Zanna Bianca“ (1973) the plot is mainly from the dogs´ point of view. The dog is being pretty much humanized.
I chose Jack London's "Call of the Wild", a story about a Southern dog, stolen and sold to be used as a sled dog in the Yukon during the gold rush of the 1800's. I bought 3 other "Call of the Wild" videos to show the students after we finished the book, but upon previewing them, found them somewhat different from the original book.
