Robert Vaughn was an actor best known for his starring role in the 1960s NBC series The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Vaughn played American spy Napoleon Solo, for 105 episodes of the action-adventure series. In 1978, Vaughn won an Emmy Award for his supporting actor work on the drama series Washington: Behind Closed Doors .
A prolific American actor best known for The Man From U.N.C.L.E (1964-1968), Vaughn became a fixture on screens both sides of the Atlantic after the show became a cult hit in Britain.
