Un film davvero ben fatto, con una sceneggiatura perfetta e una storia bella e originale. Ottimo il cast, con in testa un Nino Manfredi in stato di grazia e credibilissimo come siciliano, così come di lusso è il cast "stelle e strisce" che comprende Peter Falk, Jason Robards e Martin Landau.
