Steve Braun i Larry Sullivan jsou hezcí muži a chemie mezi nimi od začátku funguje velmi dobře. Spousta humorných scén (přistiženi rodiči a společný rozhovor u kávy, rodinná večeře a následná hádka).
Miles Swain's debut feature, The Trip, is a surprisingly intelligent romantic comedy combining elements of The Graduate, Forrest Gump, Thelma and Louis, and Longtime Companion. Swain refuses to wallow in pedantic preaching, instead drawing memorable and likeable characters into the period piece.
The film shows what can be achieved when millions aren't poured into special effects and high-priced superficial "talent". I saw The Trip on the last day of the Philadelphia Gay and Lesbian Film Festival 2002. The timing was truly fitting, because it was a fantastic grand finale to a festival which included many other fine films.
