He was replaced by Ament's former Deranged Diction bandmate, Bruce Fairweather. The band released the EP Come on Down in 1985 and followed it up with Dry As a Bone in 1987, the first non-compilation release on Sub Pop records. The band's only full-length studio album, Rehab Doll, was released in 1988.

Bruce Fairweather (født 12. desember 1960) var gitarist i grunge-bandet Mother Love Bone. Han var også medlem av Green River , der han jobbet sammen med Mark Arm , som senere stiftet Mudhoney sammen med Steve Turner .
Soon after, Tillman left to pursue other interests. He was replaced at first by original bassist Simpson, who in turn was replaced by ex-Green River and Mother Love Bone guitarist-turned-bassist Bruce Fairweather. In 1993 the Far Gone album appeared, which to many was considered a disappointment following Dayglo's critical success.
