Samaris is an electronic music group from Iceland which formed in January 2011 and consists of Áslaug Rún Magnúsdóttir, Þórður Kári Steinþórsson and Jófríður Ákadóttir.

23 lug 2013 · Perhaps we’ve had clarinets all wrong after all – maybe now is the time for these ever-maligned instruments to finally break into the big time. Or perhaps it’s more to do with Samaris; a band with a gift for piecing songs together in a way that makes everything – even the most unfashionable of instruments – feel just right.
Energetic, melodious rock band, For a Minor Reflection comprises of four 23-year-olds from Reykjavík, Iceland. Kjartan Holm (guitar), Guðfinnur Sveinsson (guitar & piano), Elvar Jón Guðmundsson (bass) and Andri Freyr Þorgeirsson (drums). Far from simple to define, their music expands and subverts itself with every song.
The band have just announced whistle-stop European dates in April ahead of a full tour in June. ‘Black Lights’ is a reflection on both the expanded horizons afforded by a year of experiences on the road following the release of 2014’s ‘Silkidrangar’, and of a period of change and not a little emotional turmoil for all three band members.
