Established in the early 1900s, the USC Thornton Symphony is a premier ensemble at the School of Music and a visible artistic presence in the Los Angeles music community. About Led by Carl St.Clair, the artistic leader of the Thornton Orchestras, and resident conductor Sharon Lavery, the symphony has worked with some of the world’s greatest conductors, composers and musicians.

Associate professor of practice. Sean Holt is an American musician, producer, songwriter and artist. Originally from Louisiana, Holt’s early musical influences were a unique collection of blues, gospel, soul and jazz from that region. He began his professional career in 1991 in Los Angeles, where he currently resides.
