Say It Is So is the fifth studio album by New Zealand singer/songwriter Tim Finn . After the release of 1993's Before & After Finn was left without a record company. He met producer Jay Joyce in Nashville, in 1998 with whom he worked. No record company was interested in the album so he released it independently.

21 gen 2019 · This was Tim's second foray into theatre, having written the songs in the more successful Steel City in 1998. He released a demo of the song in 2008 on his compilation Rarities, Demos, Live Performances Vol. 1 in 2008. WE discussed that version here. The song, an old-style music hall ballad, was directly inspired by the death of his mother.
