Bob Mould's new album BEAUTY & RUIN is a twelve-track journey of loss, reflection, conciliation, and coming through the other side. Much of BEAUTY & RUIN deals with the passing of Mould's father in October 2012, Bob's struggle to come to terms with it, himself, and his own identity and legacy, and repercussions of all of the above on his ongoing relationships in the land of the living.

3 giu 2014 · Mould has described Beauty & Ruin as having a sort of narrative arc to it. The opening tracks reflect the confusion and darkness clouding Mould, with even the more up-tempo sounding I Don’t Know You Anymore containing lyrics like “A thousand pieces of my heart drop across a weathered floor… maybe over time this confusion will fade”.

18 nov 2014 · The Tym "Beauty & Ruin" Bob Mould signature distortion is exactly the same circuit as my St Paul Distortion with new artwork and in the smaller, custom made enclosure. It features the classic late 70's/early 80's Dist + circuit based on two of my favorite originals and would be close to the one Bob had bought new.
