Don Cherry divenne famoso nel mondo del jazz suonando la tromba (ma anche la tromba "tascabile" e la cornetta) al fianco del geniale sassofonista Ornette Coleman alla fine degli anni '50. L'album che mi appresto a descrivere è " Brown Rice " del 1975, quando Cherry aveva assorbito, grazie alla sua continua ricerca di sonorità altre le musiche africane e indiane.
