Mari Bukčin (Murray Bookchin, 14. januar 1921. – 30. jul 2006 .) je bio teoretičar i pisac, osnivač “socijalne ekologije”, pravca radikalno-ekološke misli. Autor je više knjiga iz oblasti politike, filozofije, istorije i ekologije.

His ideas on localized, self-governed communities seem particularly insightful today, as the strains of globalization and resource depletion has made “thinking local” a viable plan for future societal sustainability.

Murray Bookchin (1921–2006) var en amerikansk marxist og etterhvert anarkist som hadde stor innflytelse på amerikansk radikalisme i 1960-årene og senere. Særlig bidrog han til miljøbevegelsens fremvekst med teksten Our synthetic Enviroment (1962). Det særegne med Bookchin er at han kombinerer økologisk tankegang med anarkistisk filosofi.
