Das Institut Le Rosey wurde 1880 durch Paul-Émile Carnal gegründet und gilt als weltweit teuerstes Internat. Der Hauptsitz der Schule befindet sich in Rolle am Genfersee; seit 1916 wird im Winter in der Dependance in Gstaad im Berner Oberland unterrichtet. Das Motto der Schule ist „Une École pour la Vie“/ „A School for Life“.
