The University of Leicester (/ ˈ l ɛ s t ər / ⓘ LEST-ər) is a public research university based in Leicester, England. The main campus is south of the city centre, adjacent to Victoria Park . The university's predecessor, University College, Leicester , gained university status in 1957.
Kevin Warwick (born 9 February 1954) is an English engineer and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) at Coventry University. [8] He is known for his studies on direct interfaces between computer systems and the human nervous system, and has also done research concerning robotics. [9] [10]
The Students' Union developed in tandem with the University and has existed since 1965.
