Hintermann compie la sua prima opera di finzione, The Book of Vision, e la fa pulsare di quel senso “ultra mondano” e filosofico, tipico del regista Terrence Malick, che non a caso compare come produttore esecutivo del film (senza dimenticare che Malick è stato anche il soggetto del documentario, girato dallo stesso Hintermann, Rosy- fingered dawn: un film su Terrence Malick).
