13 mag 2020 · Beginning with 5600 Cubicenter Package in 1968, this enormous inflatable phallus (then the largest inflatable structure ever made) was erected to nearly 300ft using Europe’s biggest cranes for Documenta 4. In 1969, Christo and Jeanne-Claude dreamt bigger still, wrapping 1.5 miles of Sydney coastline in erosion-control fabric for Wrapped Coast.

The installation reached a height of 85 metres and was created on the occasion of Documenta IV in 1968 by Christo. The rare artwork has a size of 22 x 16.9 in and is framed in a passepartout. The photography in small numbers is handsigned by Christo & Jeanne Claude as well as Wolfgang Volz.
Christo and Jeanne-Claude are pioneers in the field of environmental art, envisioning radically new forms of outdoor public art.
