At Highgate, we have four standard entry points for pupils seeking to join the School: Reception (age 4+), Year 3 (age 7+), Year 7 (age 11+) and the Sixth Form (age 16+). In addition, we can sometimes offer “occasional places” into selected other year groups, depending on pupil numbers.
Highgate School was named Independent School of the Decade by The Sunday Times Schools Guide for 2021. Most recently, in their 2024 Guide, we were proud to feature in the Top 10 independent schools in London and amongst the Top 20 schools nationally.

Highgate School enjoys strong community and staff support and our school values of Honesty, Integrity, Respect and Kindness are embedded in everything that we do. We promote inclusion and wellbeing and have a range of different approaches and programs that support social and emotional development, as well as academic learning.
Lead on the review, development, delivery and management of the Senior School curricular and extra-curricular cricket programmes (Year 7 to Year 13), promoting the vision and aims of Sport and Exercise at Highgate. Support Pre-Prep and Junior School Heads of Sport and Exercise in curriculum development.
Highgate School combines Victorian buildings (our Chapel, Central Hall classrooms and Sir Martin Gilbert Library) with modern facilities like our 200-seat auditorium and dedicated recital spaces, science laboratories, modern language classrooms, and high-tech ICT suites.
