Letters to a Young Brother is a book written by actor Hill Harper, published April 2006. [1] Harper wrote the book to help young black males get through life and not make the same mistakes he made at a certain age. The book was inspired by Ranier Maria Rilke 's Letters to a Young Poet. [2]

I had high hopes for this book as I read another one of Hill Harper's books prior to reading this book (Letters To An Incarcerated Brother). I'm not sure why I didn't care for Letters To A Young Brother, but the other book I read - Letters To An Incarcerated Brother - was much more heartfelt and honest and sincere IMO.
