Ronnie und ihr Manager Phil Spector (1939–2021) begannen 1963 eine Affäre, kurz nachdem sie bei seinem Label unter Vertrag genommen worden war. Nachdem sich die Gruppe 1966 aufgelöst hatte, heiratete das Paar 1968 und sie versuchte sich als Solosängerin. 1971 veröffentlichte Ronnie Spector ihren ersten Song Try Some, Buy Some , der von George Harrison geschrieben worden war.

The great up-tempo tune “Dynamite” was released on Ronnie Spector’s first official solo album, Siren. The album was released in 1980. There’s a bit of a pure rock roll 1950s groove to the song, featuring the standard one, four, five blues chord changes.
Ronnie Spector, geboren als Veronica Yvette Bennett (East Harlem, 10 augustus 1943 – Danbury (Connecticut), 12 januari 2022), was een Amerikaanse zangeres. Ze was de leadzangeres van de groep The Ronettes , die in 1957 werd geformeerd met haar oudere zus Estelle Bennett (1941-2009) en hun nicht Nedra Talley (°1946).
