The Runaways is a 2010 American biographical drama film about the 1970s rock band of the same name written and directed by Floria Sigismondi in her screenwriting and feature directional debut. It is based on the book Neon Angel: A Memoir of a Runaway by the band's lead vocalist Cherie Currie .

The Runaways è un film del 2010 diretto da Floria Sigismondi e interpretato da Kristen Stewart e Dakota Fanning. È un film che racconta la storia dell'omonimo gruppo rock femminile degli anni settanta, in parte ispirato all'autobiografia del 1989 della cantante Cherie Currie Neon Angel.

Un filo in meno di giustizia viene resa invece ai brani delle Runaways da lei reinterpretati: sono canzoni che erano "ruggite", mentre, a confronto con le versioni originali, lei sembra "miagolarle". Più affine l'interpretazione vocale di Kristen Stewart per i brani originariamente interpretati dalla dalla Jett, ma c'è anche da dire che la Jett aveva uno stile decisamente più pacato.
