2 mag 2024 · Fernanda Montenegro (born October 16, 1929, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a Brazilian stage and screen actress, best known outside of South America for her role in Central do Brasil (1998; Central Station ), for which she was nominated for the 1999 Academy Award for best actress. She was the first Brazilian actress to receive that honour.
