Hohenlohe o von Hohenlohe è una famiglia principesca tedesca. Regnanti dapprima sulla Contea di Hohenlohe , i due rami della famiglia vennero elevati al rango di Principe del Sacro Romano Impero rispettivamente nel 1744 e nel 1764 ; nel 1806 essi persero i propri domini, che entrarono a far parte del Regno di Baviera e del Regno del Württemberg .

He was the son of one of the richest and most powerful feudal lords in Württemberg and had four brothers and one sister. Von Hohenlohe was canon of the Bishopric of Würzburg from 1218 to 1219.
