Circle in the Square Theatre was founded in 1951 by Theodore Mann, Jose Quintero, Jason Wingreen, Aileen Cramer, Ed Mann, and Emily Stevens, and joined by Paul Libin in 1963. In 1972, Circle moved to its Broadway home on 50th Street – the first new Broadway theatre in fifty years.
Located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, Circle in the Square Theatre School is the only conservatory of acting affiliated with an operational Broadway theatrical company. Circle in the Square offers 2-year training programs in professional theatre and musical theatre as well as summer acting workshops.
