14 feb 2020 · But that’s easier stated than done when you have a film like “Downhill,” a largely inferior American knockoff that's far less dynamic than the 2014 dark comedy it's based on. Not that this project didn’t come together with some inspiration, starting with the first time that Will Ferrell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus have worked together.
Downhill (2020): Will Ferrell, Julia Louis-Dreyfus In pratica, Downhill cammina sulle uova, non sparge grandi acuti e rimane una pellicola discutibile ma, contestualmente, esperisce un preoccupante snapshot sociale, abbracciando l’inconsistenza umana, esistente anche all’interno di quei rapporti ritenuti saldissimi.
12 feb 2020 · In the end, the film never lands on a tone that works. Instead, the film plays it safe and broad, a stark contrast to the original’s subtle, dark humor. That’s not to say “Downhill” is a bad film, but it’s not really good either.
