Passow gehörte seit 1817 zum Kreis Angermünde in der preußischen Provinz Brandenburg. 1952 wurde der Ort in den Kreis Angermünde im DDR- Bezirk Frankfurt (Oder) eingegliedert. Seit 1993 liegt er im brandenburgischen Landkreis Uckermark. In Passow findet seit 2014 wieder ein Erntefest statt.
