Overview. In this East German film, the third one in The Third is Margit's third lover. Margit is a single mother in her mid-thirties with two daughters by different men. Looking back on her failed relationships, Margit realizes that her life has been shaped by perceived social expectations and that she has always allowed the men in her life to choose her.
