  1. Port Arthur Collegiate Institute was a collegiate institute operated by the Lakehead District School Board in Thunder Bay, Ontario from 1910 to 2007. The building was designated a historic building in 1984 and is located at the west end of Waverly Park. The school's teams were named "PACI Redmen".

For nearly 100 years this structure served as a high school educational facility for the community until enrolment issues forced the Lakehead Board of Education to close it down.

Port Arthur Collegiate Institute is positioned in beautiful Waverly Park, which has the distinction of being the second oldest municipal park in Ontario, and the only designated Heritage District in Thunder Bay. The cornerstone for the school building was laid in 1909 by James Conmee, mayor of Port Arthur in 1884.

  5. 22 mag 2020 · In December 1910, the board conveyed the college to the Methodist Episcopal Church, and the name was changed to Port Arthur Collegiate Institute. In succeeding years, academic, music and science classes were added to the curriculum.
