The British Institute of Florence is a cultural institute founded in 1917 in Florence, Italy, with the aim of promoting Anglo-Italian cultural relations, teaching English and Italian languages, and running a library of English books to illustrate British and Italian literature, art, history and music.
Our General English courses offer a comprehensive approach to the English language, one that covers all four core skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. These courses are practical and allow students to speak and use the language right away, but also to acquire a solid grasp of grammar so that they can progress from year to year to the next level.
