13 feb 2019 · Jóhann Jóhannsson Retrospective. Deutsche Grammophon is set to release a two-volume retrospective edition of Jóhann’s work. It will incorporate many of his major works, including The Miners’ Hymns, Arrival, Sicario, Orphée, and a previously unissued soundtrack album.
RETROSPECTIVE I was issued on 4 October 2019 as a deluxe hardcover book edition, with seven albums featuring Jóhannsson’s earlier works, including his previously unreleased soundtrack to the documentary White Black Boy. All seven albums are now made available on the Yellow Label.
18 set 2020 · Complementing the April 2019 release of Retrospective I, which included such seminal works as The Miners’ Hymns, Copenhagen Dreams, and Free the Mind, this second and final volume offers a wide-ranging selection of Jóhann Jóhannsson’s multi-award-winning film scores and influential studio albums.
