Egli era il figlio secondogenito di Augusto, Principe di Anhalt-Plötzkau e di sua moglie Sibilla, figlia del conte Giovanni Giorgio di Solms-Laubach. A Plötzkau, il 18 gennaio 1655 Lebrecht sposò Sophie Ursula Eleonore (Ortenberg, 2 ottobre 1628 - Köthen, 13 settembre 1675), figlia di Enrico Volrad, Conte di Stolberg-Ortenberg. Questo matrimonio non diede però figli. Dopo quattro anni di regno a Köthen, Lebrecht morì senza eredi e la sua successione passò integralmente al fratello Emmanuele.
Biografia. Figlio del principe Augusto di Anhalt-Plötzkau e di sua moglie, Sibilla di Solms-Laubach, succedette al padre sul trono di Anhalt-Plötzkau alla morte di questi, il 22 agosto del 1653, ma governò per pochissimo tempo, sino al 1654 .
A causa delle difficoltà nella forma e nel metodo di pagamento del risarcimento, il principe Cristiano cedette a suo fratello August amt Plötzkau nel 1611, lasciando il potere sovrano a Bernburg. Lo scoppio della Guerra dei Trent'anni inferse un duro colpo ad Anhalt.

Anhalt-Plötzkau was a principality located in Germany. It existed on two occasions. It was first established in 1544 following the partition of Anhalt-Dessau, but the principality ceased to exist following the death of Prince George III in 1553, at which point it was inherited by the prince of Anhalt-Zerbst .
