Abdul Aziz, detto lo Sfortunato, è stato il 32º sultano dell'Impero ottomano. Regnò dal 25 giugno 1861 al 30 maggio 1876. Era figlio del sultano Mahmud II e succedette al fratello Abdul Mejid I nel 1861.
Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman, also known as Ibn Saud, was born on 15 January 1875 in Riyadh. He was the fourth child and third son of Abdul Rahman bin Faisal, one of the last rulers of the Emirate of Nejd, the Second Saudi State, a tribal sheikhdom centered on Riyadh.

King Abdulaziz al-Saud was the first monarch of Saudi Arabia. Born as the son of Abdul Rahman bin Faisal Al Saud, the last ruler of the Second Saudi State, he consolidated his control over his ancestral lands and became the ruler of nearly all of central Arabia.
