Guglielmo Cristiano Carlo, 3º principe di Solms Braunfels (Braunfels, 9 gennaio 1759 – Braunfels, 20 marzo 1837), fu, per successione, un principe immediato, successivamente un nobiluomo e capo del casato principesco di Solms-Braunfels, un general maggior prussiano ed un deputato dell'Assia.
Il 22 maggio 1742, l' imperatore Carlo VII elevò il casato di Solms-Braunfels al rango di principe imperiale e così quando suo padre morì egli gli successe come 2º principe. Matrimonio e figli.

Prince Carl (Karl) of Solms-Braunfels (27 July 1812 – 13 November 1875) was a German prince and military officer in both the Austrian army and the cavalry of the Grand Duchy of Hesse. As commissioner general of the Adelsverein, he spearheaded the establishment of colonies of German immigrants in Texas.
Born July 12, 1812 Carl was the youngest of eight children of the marriage of Prince Frederick William of Solms-Braunfels with Princess Friederike of Mecklenburg-Strelitz in Neustrelitz. By the early death of his father, he lived with his family in Braunfels.
