In the notes, Husby, Norwegian pianist, arranger and musical director, tells a familiar tale of dogged persistence through stalled plans and half-finished projects, leading finally to this album.
The new album “On A Misty Night” collects her recordings of Tadd Dameron ́s music with the great Georgie Fame and includes two previously unreleased tracks – all brilliantly arranged by Norwegian pianist, arranger and composer Per Husby.

The album is named for Dameron’s best-known song and this 7 minute plus version of ‘On A Misty Night’ opens proceedings. On it Fame and Krog share the vocal as they do on other Dameron classics like the sprightly ‘Dig It’, ‘That’s The Way it Goes’ and the clever medley of ‘Good Bait’ and ‘Ladybird’.
