Richard Burke, 4th Earl of Clanricarde (also Richard de Burgh) PC (Ire) (English: / d ˈ b ɜːr /; d'-BER; English: / k l æ n ˈ r ɪ k ɑːr d /; klan-RIK-ard; 1572 – 12 November 1635), styled Lord Dunkellin (/ d ʌ n ˈ k ɛ l ɪ n /; dun-KELL-in) until 1601, was an Irish nobleman and politician.

Burke, Richard (c.1569–1635), 4th earl of Clanricard, nobleman, was the second, but eldest surviving, son of the six sons and two daughters of Ulick Burke, 3rd earl of Clanricard, and his wife, Honora, daughter of John Burke of Clogheroka, Co. Galway.
The Irish annals, old pedigrees and contemporary records agree that the Burke chieftains who came to rule the territory of Clanricarde and the Earls of Clanricarde, descend from Richard og Burke, chieftain or ‘MacWilliam’ of Clanricarde.
Biography. Richard Bourke (or de Burgh), 4th Earl of Clanricarde (c. 1572-1635) was the son of Ulick Bourke, 3rd Earl of Clanricarde and Honora Burke. He married Frances Walsingham, daughter of Sir Francis Walsingham and Ursula St. Barbe, bef April 1603.

Burke, Richard, 4th Earl of Clanricarde (1572 -1635) There have been four Richards who were Earl of Clanricarde, the 2nd Earl (d. 1582), the 4th Earl (d. 1635), the 6th Earl (d. 1666) and the 8th Earl (succeeded 1687).
