Georgeanna Marie Tillman Gordon (February 6, 1944 – January 6, 1980) was an American singer and an original member of the Motown girl group the Marvelettes.
In January 1980, former Marvelette and original member Georgeanna Tillman died from complications of lupus, in her mother's house in Inkster, at the age of 36. Shortly afterwards, several of the former members filed suit against Motown, complaining of not receiving any royalties from their work.

9 set 2018 · The Marvelettes were an all-girl group whose original members were Gladys Horton, Katherine Anderson, Georgeanna Tillman, Juanita Cowart, and Georgia Dobbins. They came together in a high school glee club in their home town of Inkster, Michigan in 1959.
Gladys Horton, Katherine Anderson, Georgeanna Tillman, Juanita Cowart, and Georgia Dobbins were the initial The Marvelettes members, an all-girl ensemble. In 1959, they met in a high school glee group in Inkster, Michigan, where they both grew up.
In 1961, Inkster High School students Katherine Anderson, Juanita Cowart, Georgia Dobbins, Gladys Horton, and Georgeanna Tillman, then known as the Casinyets, entered a talent competition that earned the top three acts an audition with Motown.
The Marvelettes’ line-up evolves: Georgeanna Tillman and Wyanetta Cowart depart. Smokey Robinson pens and produces a pair of hits for The Marvelettes, “As Long As I Know He’s Mine” and “He’s A Good Guy (Yes He Is),” but the group turns down “Where Did Our Love Go” in favor of “Too Many Fish In The Sea.”
