Kevin Bryant Mahogany (July 30, 1958 – December 17, 2017) was an American jazz vocalist who became prominent in the 1990s. Particularly known for his scat singing , his singing style has been compared with those of Billy Eckstine , Joe Williams [1] and Johnny Hartman .

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Jazz singer Kevin Mahogany, renowned for his broad baritone voice, has died at age 59. Mahogany's sister, Carmen Julious, told KCUR-FM Radio that her brother died Sunday. A cause of death was not disclosed.
