Princess Dorothea of Denmark (29 June 1546 – 6 January 1617) was the Duchess of Brunswick-Lüneburg from 1561 until 1592 as the consort of Duke William the Younger. She was regent for her son George from 1592 to 1596.

Unica figlia di Giorgio Guglielmo, duca di Brunswick-Lüneburg-Celle, e della sua amante Eleonora d'Esmier d'Olbreuse, Sofia Dorotea nacque il 15 settembre 1666. Sofia Dorotea (16 marzo 1687 – 28 giugno 1757), sposò nel 1706 Federico Guglielmo I di Prussia.

Description. Dorothea, daughter of Philip, Duke of Holstein-Glucksburg, married, in 1653, Christian Ludwig, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg (d. 1660), the eldest brother of Ernest Augustus, Elector of Hanover. In 1668, she married, as his second wife, Frederick William, Elector of Brandenburg.
