Michael "Olga" Algar (born 21 September 1959 in Marsden, South Shields, England) is an English guitarist, singer and songwriter who fronts the band Toy Dolls. Mainly a lead/rhythm guitarist, Olga is also a songwriter and record producer. Algar lived in the City of Sunderland during most of his life before moving to Tokyo, Japan, in 2000.

Michael "Olga" Algar of The Toy Dolls on stage in 2005. The Toy Dolls formed as a quartet featuring vocalist Pete "Zulu" Robson; guitarist Michael "Olga" Algar (born 21 September 1962, South Shields, England); drummer Colin "Mr. Scott" Scott; and bassist Phillip "Flip" Dugdale.
The Toy Dolls Official Website. The Toy Dolls were formed in October 1979 and comprised Pete Zulu (Peter Robson) – lead vocal, Olga (Michael Algar) – guitar, Flip (Philip Dugdale) – bass guitar and Mr Scott (Colin Scott) – drummer. The band’s first ever gig was at Millview Social Club, Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, on 20 October 1979.

Se enfadan si les dicen que tienen una cara amable o una vertiente cómica pues se toman muy en serio el punk como estilo. Es un placer siempre tener oportunidad de charlar con ellos.

His songwriting and delivery are top-notch, and he must be one of the most musically talented performers to emerge from the punk scene. The other thing that stands out is that the band have a unique sound that makes them sound like no other band.
