Hexagon is the sixth studio album by American alternative rock band Filligar. It was released in July 2013 in the United States and September 2013 in the United Kingdom. The title refers to the shape of the cube on the cover, rendered as a hexagon in 2D space.

Filligar is an alternative rock band made up of Johnny, Teddy and Pete Mathias and childhood friend Casey Gibson. Filligar has a prolific catalog of original music, recognized as “of prestige value” by the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).

Filligar‘s album, Hexagon like any record, has strong points, as well as some weaknesses; a strength being their well-played American sound, demonstrated vocally in New Local, the opening song of the record with a pleasant intro and upbeat theme throughout the song; a nice start.
Filligar do it different. Yes, they are retro but then they are playing a classic Americana which has all been done before anyway. The fact that their album has exploded in America much like Alabama Shakes has over here shows a yearning to return to some sort of classicism.
