The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) is an Australian educational institution for the performing arts based in Sydney, New South Wales. Founded in 1958, many of Australia's leading actors and directors trained at NIDA, including Cate Blanchett, Sarah Snook, Mel Gibson, Judy Davis and Baz Luhrmann.
The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) is Australia’s leading centre for education and training in the performing arts. NIDA Open gives people of all ages and experience the chance to benefit from NIDA’s world-renowned training methods and to explore their own creativity.
NIDA offers a range of short courses and experiences for adults across the spectrum of dramatic arts disciplines including acting, presenting, musical theatre, design, technical theatre and stage management, writing and directing.
