Miami is the seventh studio album by James Gang, released in 1974. This album is the last with lead guitarist Tommy Bolin before he left to join Deep Purple . The front cover is a black version of their second album, James Gang Rides Again with the new title and a pink flamingo added at the bottom.

James Gang was an American rock band formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1966. [2] The band went through a variety of line-up changes until they recorded their first album as a power trio consisting of Joe Walsh (guitars, lead vocals), Tom Kriss (bass) and Jim Fox (drums). Dale Peters replaced Kriss on bass for the band's second and third albums.

Miami sounds far different from the Joe Walsh era James Gang, but is about as good for the Guitars. Tommy Bolin's style is more free flowing fiery passion where Joe Walsh's was more thick chordal slabs, distortion, and blistering power. and that contrast is what makes this album great. Published.
