Il duetto con Bette Midler in "I Never Talk to Strangers" rivela in modo efficacissimo quanto sia arguto un testo adattissimo a un finale quasi crepuscolare che introduce un curioso medley jazzistico in cui vengono ricordate le figure di Jack Kerouac e Neal Cassidy oltre alla sua nascita californiana.
