19 mag 2003 · MONSTER MAGNET have recruited LORD STERLING bassist Jim Baglino to replace Joe Calandra, who was unceremoniously booted from the band last month along with drummer Jon Kleiman.
4 dic 2017 · Drummer Jon Kleiman and bassist Joe Calandra were vets of the NJ hardcore scene who brought a visceral energy to the songs. By the members’ own telling, the quartet was purposely being reactionary in crafting music on Spine of God that sounded like something from another era, though not any single specific era.
Dopo questo lavoro, Joe Calandra e Jon Kleiman abbandonarono il gruppo per incomprensioni con Wyndorf, e furono sostituiti rispettivamente da Jim Baglino e Bob Pantella. Nel 2003, i Monster Magnet firmarono un contratto con l'etichetta tedesca SPV, e agli inizi del 2004 pubblicarono Monolithic Baby! in tutta Europa.
After the release, Joe Calandra and Jon Kleiman left the band. They would be replaced by Jim Baglino and Michael Wildwood who recorded Monolithic Baby! and, after a short stint, Wildwood was replaced by former Love Among Freaks drummer Bob Pantella, respectively.
