Carthage College is a private college affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and located in Kenosha, Wisconsin. It enrolls 2,667 students. Carthage awards bachelor's degrees with majors in more than 40 subject areas and master's degrees in three areas. Carthage has 150 faculty.
Founded in 1847, Carthage College is located on the beautiful shore of Lake Michigan in Kenosha, Wisconsin, midway between Chicago and Milwaukee. Home to 2,800 students, Carthage blends the best liberal arts traditions with desirable degree programs, transformative learning opportunities, and personal attention from distinguished faculty.
Carthage is one of only two liberal arts colleges in the country to lead NASA’s Space Grant Consortium, and we’ve been sending students into zero-g for more than a decade. Our students build experiments that fly on Blue Origin rockets and are headed for the International Space Station.

Carthage College, a private liberal arts institution, was established in 1847 by Lutheran pioneers in Hillsboro, Illinois. Originally named The Literary and Theological Institute of the Lutheran Church in the Far West, it was later renamed Hillsboro College.
